Indigenous Volunteers needed for City of Toronto Street Needs Assessment April 26th!
TASSC is supporting the City of Toronto in recruiting Indigenous (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) volunteers for the upcoming Street Needs Assessment (point in time count for people facing homelessness in Toronto) on April 26th.
No experience is needed! On-line training provided for cultural safety.
The goal is to increase the number of Indigenous volunteers participating in the Street Needs Assessment. We believe this will contribute to more culturally safe interactions with Indigenous people facing homelessness and may increase the number of people self-identifying as Indigenous.
If you, a colleague, friend or family member would like to participate please register with the City of Toronto here: https://www.toronto.ca/community-people/get-involved/volunteer-with-the-city/street-needs-assessment/street-needs-assessment-registration-form/
TBC is sharing information on TASSC’s Request For Proposal for a Website Developer to build the Toronto Indigenous Web Portal. This is a collaborative project supported by TASSC, the City of Toronto, FindHelp, and the Community Indigenous Task Force.
